SC Highway 90 Corridor Study

The Grand Strand Area Transportation Study (GSATS) has a study underway to identify ways to address transportation issues along the rapidly growing SC 90 corridor from US 501 Business to US 17, which is approximately 23 miles long, and along the estimated 3-mile stretch of Hwy 57 from SC 90 to SC 9 (Sea Mountain Highway).

Previous Public Input: The Grand Strand Area Transportation Study (GSATS) hosted an Open House for the public to review and comment on proposed recommendations that address transportation issues along the SC 90 corridor from US 501 Bus. to US 17 and along the Hwy 57 corridor from SC 90 to SC 9 on November 9, 2023, from 4-6 pm.

The Grand Strand Area Transportation Study (GSATS) held a Public Information Meeting on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chesterfield Missionary Baptist Church, 8591 Highway 90, Longs, South Carolina. The meeting gathered information and feedback on transportation concerns in the study area. Interactive displays and the handout below were available at the meeting. A survey and mapping activity were also available at the meeting and online through May 29, 2023. Another public input meeting will be held in the fall prior to completion of the plan.
